Šrédlová, Petra ; Matějka, Ondřej (advisor) ; Emler, David (referee)
Formy a vývoj kolaborace ve Vichy Petra Šrédlová Abstract This bachelor thesis is dealing with various types of collaboration between France and Germany in the course of years from 1940 to 1944. It focuses on the three most significant types of collaboration, namely state collaboration, economic collaboration and collaborationism. The thesis is divided into three chapters, which are focused on particular kinds of collaboration and every one of them analyses their chronological development within several subheads. The state and economic collaboration took place on the level of government negotiations, in which the Vichy government did not support total collaboration, whereas collaborationism was based on ideological support of Nazi Germany, where the collaborationists supported absolute collaboration. The aim of this thesis is to analyse chronological course of particular types of collaboration focused on the breakdown of transformation of the attitude of individual participants. Their approach was changing mostly on the grounds of Germany's war achievements, which decreased noticeably within the course of the war and also on increasing German demands, mainly in the economic area. The thesis also pursues the question of efficiency of individual types of collaboration in the view of the motives that led Vichy...
Horizontal direct effect of the Treaty freedoms
Merjavá, Veronika ; Kunertová, Tereza (advisor) ; Svobodová, Magdaléna (referee)
in English language: The statement of Angela Merkel from November 2014 that she would rather see the UK out of the EU than compromise the free movement in the EU (which as at the date of the submission of this dissertation materialized in potential Brexit) was one of the reasons which encouraged the author to analyse the reach of free movement rules, more specifically the horizontal direct effect of the Treaty freedoms, in this dissertation. The author focuses on the issues stemming mainly from the broader topic of the legitimacy of market integration which the author translated into the concept of separation of the regulatory competences between the EU and the Member States and related separation between the Treaty provisions' addressees, namely the Member States and the private entities. This dissertation focuses on the following research question: To what extent has the CJEU advanced the European market integration through the development of the principle of horizontal direct effect of the Treaty freedoms? The starting point after the establishment of the EEC was that the sole addressees of the Treaty freedoms were the Member States whereas the Treaty rules on competition only applied to private entities. However, as is demonstrated throughout this dissertation, it is nowadays generally accepted...

The Impact of Europeanization on Social Systems of the EU Member States: The Case of the Swedish Labour Market
Kučerová, Markéta ; Hořejšová, Tereza (advisor) ; Šlosarčík, Ivo (referee)
The Master thesis "The Impact of Europeanization on Social Systems of the EU Member States: The Case of the Swedish Labour Market" elaborates on the potential influence of the EU on the social policy of its members. Although the social policy has formally been left in the competences of national states, there are certain possible ways whereby the EU can affect it. The instruments of Europeanization in the social area are identified and then tested on the case of the Swedish labour market. On the one hand, there are direct instruments of Europeanization in the social policy represented by the Open method of coordination (OMC) which is an unbinding EU legislation, and on the other hand, there are indirect mechanisms proceeding by the application of the rules of the internal EU market. Concerning specifically the Swedish labour market, it could have been affected by the Swedish participation on the European Employment Strategy (EES) that is based on the OMC, or through the ECJ decision in the Laval case which dealt with the freedom to provide services. In this respect, the specific Swedish model of labour market has played an important role. It is characterised by traditionally strong position of social partners and collective agreements as well as by the highly developed active labour market policy....
